7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Apr 21)

Downs...

4. Bus Stuff

Jon Moxley Eddie Kingston
AEW

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston are p*ss-funny.

Their camaraderie makes you want to hang out with them, even though you know it'll likely end in a bar fight. Last night, they were at it again, with Kingston clapping at Mox for throwing a baseball bat through The Elite's bus window before he'd moved out of the way, and Jon admonishing his buddy for trying to steal The Young Bucks' expensive Dior sneakers. They're a hoot.

Unfortunately, the rest of this segment was not.

The Elite cut snotty promos from their trailer before being distracted by a horn outside. When Kingston and Moxley rammed with their vehicle, they found the heels had disappeared.

Straight out of the Vince McMahon playbook, this was. The Elite pretty much vanished into thin air, the faces looked daft for giving them warning before charging, and the whole thing felt gimmicky. As funny as Kingston and Moxley's banter continues to be, it couldn't help the segment transcend its framework.
