7 Ups & 5 Downs For AEW Collision (26 August)
2. An Outlandish Squash
Having two squash matches on the same show can often feel a little much, but Zicky Dice certainly made the most of his minutes in his loss to Keith Lee on this week's Collision.
For those not familiar with Outlandish, he was once a mainstay of Billy Corgan's NWA - before that place went to sh*t, of course - and then had a solid spell in IMPACT Wrestling. A product of Seth Rollins' Black and Brave Wrestling Academy, Dice is an extremely entertaining athlete, and so it was nice to see him matched up with Limitless here.
Did Keith Lee need to decimate Zicky in barely 90 seconds? You could certainly have maybe given this match another couple of minutes, but the larger picture here was to give Big Keith a dominant win to help re-establish him as a potential major player, and it's not like Zicky Dice is employed by AEW at this point.
Of course, that may change in the future, for Dice pulled off the rare feat of managing to impress and show a glimpse of charisma despite being on the losing end of a 90-second squash match.
