7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (24 June - Results & Review)

1. Morgan’s Manipulations

Liv Morgan Zelina Vega
WWE

The entire Liv Morgan/Dominik Mysterio saga is pure melodrama and soap opera fodder, but it’s also captivating television.

Morgan had perhaps her most involved week in trying to win over Dom and the rest of Judgment Day Monday night, providing the group with a big screen TV and video game system for their clubhouse, sending Mysterio a (presumably) suggestive text, securing a tag title match for the group, and then ensuring they won the titles in the main event.

That’s a whole lot of Liv… and it worked.

Morgan also verbally battled a game Zelina Vega, who made sure to bring the focus back to the Women’s World Championship, mocking the ongoing antics by wondering why Liv was interested in Rhea Ripley’s “sloppy seconds” and noting that she was singularly focused on the title rather than “chasing dirty D.”

The women’s segment also brought Dominik and his deadbeat dad Rey Mysterio back together for a confrontation, leading to a match next week, which presumably will feature Morgan heavily as she tries to aid Dom in defeating his father, something Rhea never did.

Even if fans aren’t completely invested in this story, Morgan put in the work Monday night to advance things logically by ingratiating herself with Judgment Day, which could pay dividends as soon as her title defense next week, and could help splinter the group. It’s a long game with some potential short-term benefits, and plenty of melodrama along the way.
