7 Ups & 8 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 3)

6. Will They Ever Move On?

It seems that whenever any of the former ECW talents make an appearance on Impact, the heading of the entry is always in reference to the fact they don't know how to move on from the past. Until they get the point though, this will remain the case.

Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes made their return from vacation this week, with 'The Whole F'N Show' again claiming that every single wrestler was attempting to become the new RVD. The duo were interrupted by Tommy Dreamer, who suggested Van Dam and Rhino settle their differences next week in an Old School Rules Match with 'The Innovator of Violence' as the guest referee. Despite initially declining the offer, RVD was met by 'The War Machine' as he attempted to head backstage, although a team of security would successfully split the pair apart.

Now, there is a good chance that the match could be a brilliant old school brawl between Rob Van Dam and Rhino, but we really don't need to be seeing it. We've seen far too many rehashes of ECW in Impact over the past decade, with EV 2.0 marking the real start of it all the way back in 2010.

Nine years later, and we're going down the route once more just because 'Mr Tuesday Night' ambushed his then-tag partner at Bound For Glory. Le sigh.
