7 Ups & 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 7)

6. The Brawl Before The Fall

Shane McMahon The Miz

Shane McMahon stuck around after announcing the Daniel Bryan and Rowan vs. The Usos SmackDown Tag Team Title match. The Money In The Bank briefcases were sat on tables in the ring, and it looked like the former Commissioner had something to get off his chest before The Miz jumped him from behind, brawled him up at the ramp, and ate sh*t moments later.

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel emerged from the back, laying into their former leader. The number's advantage put Miz down quickly, and with McMahon battering 'The A-Lister' with a steel chair, the babyface was left lying.

While nothing groundbreaking, this segment was a solid continuing of Miz vs. McMahon. Their feud has over-delivered to an almost shocking degree, and having The B-Team as henchmen gives Shane another way to generate heat - one that doesn't involve slapping an old man around. Let's hope their MITB cage match is as much of a fun trainwreck as their WrestleMania 35 encounter was.
