7 Ups And 2 Downs From NXT TakeOver: Phoenix

4. An Undisputed Tag Team War

You can always count on Undisputed Era to bring the goods in a PPV match, but the same could be said for War Raiders, who have performed admirably during their time in NXT.

TakeOver was as much about putting Hanson & Rowe over as performers as it was delivering a hell of an opening match. The two tag teams were on fire throughout the contest, with the smaller Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly using strikes and kicks to maintain control against the bigger and stronger War Raiders.

But ultimately, Hanson’s athleticism – a cartwheel to dodge a hi-low, followed by a handspring double back elbow – and Rowe’s strength – a powerbomb/powerslam combo – that spelled the end for Undisputed Era.

Just a fantastic opener that had everything you could want from both teams.
