The ongoing mix-and-match involving the Judgment Day and Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso pretty much guaranteed how the Raw main event was going to end – with all the principles at ringside duking it out.

Damian Priest versus Sami Zayn broke down into a wild brawl that culminated in Cody hitting human punching bag JD McDonagh with two Cross-Rhodes on the announce desk before jumping into the ring and calling out his Crown Jewel opponent.

Rhodes continued to needle Priest as a guy who should be on the precipice of immortality with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but he wasn’t even powerful enough to be the leader of the Judgment Day. Cody called Damian a “walk-behinder” who falls in line behind Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor and even Dominik Mysterio. That was enough to set Priest off and maybe sow some real dissension within the group.

Cody then made it clear to fans that he’s “back on my path,” which runs straight through Priest. That’s probably the most direct he’s been about getting back to Roman Reigns, which hopefully means fans will get more than a staredown on the entrance ramp in the near future.
