7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 9)

1. Edge Strikes From Outta Nowhere

After six weeks, Edge finally returned to Raw Monday night, and he wasn’t in the mood to talk.

The Rated-R Superstar stalked to the ring and called out Randy Orton after last week’s attack on his wife Beth Phoenix. However, Edge was taken off-course by MVP, who was in the ring trying to recruit him, but instead just antagonized him.

Orton tried a sneak attack, but he quickly fell to Edge’s version of the RKO. Randy was able to flee before Edge could bring steel chairs into the ring, but MVP would fall victim to a pair of conchairtos to really drive home how pissed Edge really is.

There wasn’t a whole lot to this confrontation, and there really didn’t need to be. Just give us Edge and Orton scrapping and clawing to get at each other to set up the blood feud match at WrestleMania and we’re good.

Let’s just hope the match lives up to the hype.
