If you remember your history, Pittsburgh hosted the 2014 Royal Rumble. Apparently, fans there still haven’t forgotten that experience.

During the 30-minute Iron Man match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, fans went into business for themselves, counting down with the timer on the big screen (“10, 9, 8, 7… 1, 0, buzz!”) at the end of each minute. This was cute the first time, less so the second time, and damn annoying by the fifth time. Then they started doing it for each 10-second interval during down time. And then it was out of sync with the entire counter.

Good God, that was annoying after a while. And yes, parts of the Iron Man match dragged a bit, but that was just ridiculous from the crowd. It wasn’t imaginative or original after a while – it was just dumb.
