If the goal of the Alexa Bliss/Nia Jax match was to make the challenger look undeserving and like a loser, then mission accomplished.

It’s one thing for Bliss to retain her Raw Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match. It’s another thing for Bliss and Mickie James to overcome the involvement of Ronda Rousey and Natalya in the manner they did.

Bliss took some punishment from Jax, but she waffled her with a trashcan lid and can. Nia then disappeared from the match for five minutes, as Mickie and Nattie tangled. Rousey, who bought a ticket to sit ringside despite her suspension from Raw, jumped the barricade and saved her friend, then battled James and Bliss. (Meanwhile, Jax was nowhere to be found.)

A couple chair shots and DDT on the chair later, Alexa had defended her title. Even with Natalya ringside to neutralize James and Rousey getting involved, Jax still was toppled with relative ease.

This match only served to make Bliss and James look like world-beaters to take out the Irresistible Force and the Baddest Woman on the Planet, which can’t be what they intended, right?
