8 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE No Mercy 2017

3. Enzo Amore: Cruiserweight Champion

Neville has been one of WWE's biggest highlights in 2017. Reborn as 'The King Of The Cruiserweights', his heel turn has been a revelation, and while most of his best work takes place on the neglected 205 Live, he's one of the company's only true must-see acts. His character is fantastic, and his big pay-per-view bouts always deliver, though this is about to change on Sunday.

Enzo Amore will challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy, and there's a real chance he'll walk away with the belt. This wouldn't just mean one of WWE's worst main roster wrestlers defeating one of their best, but a character who's been booked like a complete loser since splitting from Big Cass overcoming 205's most indomitable heel, and that can't be allowed to happen.

Making Enzo champion would allow Neville to escape the restrictive division and transition to a more meaningful program on Raw, but that's the only positive. This move would eradicate the only real reason to watch 205 at the moment, destroy the belt's prestige, and deal further damage to what is already WWE's lowliest brand. At that point, the company may as well scrap the division entirely.
