8 Booking Steps For The Perfect WWE Survivor Series 2017 Card
1. Dissent In The Ranks
Sami Zayn took a disappointing loss against Randy Orton on SmackDown, falling to 'The Viper' seven days after pinning him in a tag bout, losing the opportunity to compete in the men's 5-on-5 elimination match in the process.
His buddy, Kevin Owens, could follow a similar path. He'll face Shinsuke Nakamura for a spot next week, and given that Jinder Mahal is the only clean loss on the Japanese star's main roster résumé, KO will likely fall.
Zayn and Owens must play a big role at Survivor Series. They've got the most intriguing story in the company, and while this pay-per-view necessitates putting certain angles on ice, this one should continue. Sami has been incredible as a heel, and WWE haven't even scratched the surface on what him and his best friend can do together, so removing them from the spotlight would be criminal.
The duo can still have an impact on the 5-on-5, even if they can't compete. Their beef with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan means interfering to cost Team SmackDown the match makes all the sense in the world. It'd be a great way to close the show, and would open up a wealth of new possibilities for the dissenting duo, particularly with those competing in the bout.
