8 Burning Questions For WWE Elimination Chamber 2018

1. How Will Roman’s Latest Coronation Be Received?

The conventional wisdom is that the men’s Elimination Chamber match exists only to send Roman Reigns on his latest path to his latest WrestleMania main event and WWE’s latest attempt to have a crowning achievement at the company’s biggest show of the year.

Reigns has main-evented the last three Manias, fighting Brock Lesnar, Triple H and Undertaker. Each time, the match was perceived as a coronation of sorts. Now, Roman is on the cusp of becoming #1 contender and thus in position for a fourth consecutive Mania main event.

If he wins the chamber match (and then points at the WrestleMania sign), how will it be received by fans? We have guys like Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in the chamber, all of whom have pretty big fan followings. Plus, as mentioned before, this wouldn’t be Roman’s first go-round as an anointed top guy. Fans likely won’t like that too much, and the reaction could be vicious.

And while nothing is written in stone (the main event of WrestleMania 31 should make that abundantly clear), it sure feels like this is where we’re heading, and fans could torpedo Reigns’ latest path to the mountaintop.
