Anyway, Stephanie McMahon assured the WWE Universe on RAW that Kevin Owens would be on the receiving end of disciplinary action following his spectacular assault on Machine Gun Kelly on Monday night - but it seems that KO has gotten off lightly. An apology for his actions on his Twitter account seems to have set things right, with Tom Phillips informing us on SmackDown that Owens has been dealt with internally.

Of course he has. What kind of deal has Owens made with the powers that be? Will The Authority get involved in the US title match at Battleground in return for a favour from KO later on? Will anything happen at all as a result of this? Will WWE just hope that everyone forgets that Owens was supposed to be in hot water for his antics?

As a long-time WWE fan, I have always enjoyed watching men pretend to beat each other up while wearing spandex. Extra points for facepaint, none for tassels. I love all things sci-fi.
