Let’s go back to November 2016. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg were due to do battle in the main event of Survivor Series, and AJ Styles and Kevin Owens were the top champions of their respective brands. If a wrestling fan had been asked to predict a champion vs. champion match for Survivor Series 2017, the answers may have been predictable. Brock vs. AJ? Roman vs. Cena? Seth vs. Dean?

Survivor Series 2017 is right around the corner, and WWE has indeed decided to book a Champion vs. Champion match. The wrestling fans of 11 months ago would drop their coffee in shock at the combatants however - Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal. Okay, the match isn’t 100% confirmed yet, but it seems likely.

It doesn’t take an expert to realise that something is amiss here. Jinder Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar? How has this happened? Why is this happening? WWE is backing itself into a corner with no escape with this match. There are a lot of major problems with this bout. Here's just some of them.
