8 Most Powerful People In MMA
6. Brock Lesnar
Is he done with MMA? Who knows.
Yet where Brock Lesnar goes, media attention follows. In MMA, the ability to consistently draw well at the box office, on PPV, and get the attention of media outlets world wide equals power. In that regard, Lesnar is one of an elite few.
His UFC 200 return helped bring in well over a million viewers on North American PPV alone. Despite not even being in the main event, he was the biggest star on the card. Of course, a failed drug test announced in the days following the event soured his feelgood return to the sport, but having worked out a fine and suspension with the NSAC and USADA, Lesnar has a chance to put all that behind him.
His UFC payday at UFC 200 was briefly a record, a whopping $2.5 million U.S., and that's before a PPV bonus. Should he decide to fight again when his suspension is up next Summer, his return would be huge. Possibly another million buys.
Lesnar has conquered two worlds like perhaps no other before him. For as long as he decides to stick around, he'll remain a huge figure in the industry.
