8 Reasons New Japan's Wrestle Kingdom 9 Is Must-Watch

4. AJ Styles VS Tetsuya Naito

With AJ Styles breaking the necks (legitimately) of multiple men with his finisher, the Styles Clash, recently, there was a nice back story to this one. Would Styles hit the move again? If he did, would Naito be able to avoid getting injured, possibly ending his career? North American fans know what AJ is capable of in the ring, but Naito has also been impressing people for years. With his experience in Japan, as well as some time in Mexico, he has a blended in-ring style that is incredible to watch. Naito has been flirting with the main event scene for a while, and a victory here over the man who just lost the IWGP Heavyweight Title would have propelled him to that level. He certainly wrestled as if it would. AJ's 2014 was a thing of beauty, outside of the injured opponents, as he looked refreshed and more full of life than he had in years after leaving TNA, and had a new set of opponents to face off against. When you have two motivated performers squaring off, everyone can feel it, and everyone gets into the match even further.
