During Ronda Rousey's WWE contract signing at Elimination Chamber, Raw GM Kurt Angle went rogue on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, claiming they were looking to control the incoming MMA star. In later promos, he reiterated this and said he couldn't wait to see Ronda put Stephanie in her place.

Ronda arm-barred the bejesus out of McMahon at WrestleMania 34, so why is Kurt still subservient to Stephanie like nothing happened? Has his plan to get The Authority off his case for good failed? That's what it looks like, but there's been next-to-no follow up to explain that.

Rousey has moved on to compete in Raw's women's division and Kurt is (once again) cowering at the presence of Steph and her almighty shriek. When 'Mania was a chance to move The Authority on, at least for a good while, WWE instead chose to have it become another false dawn for the good guys under their thumb.

Kurt, regrettably, is right back where he started before enlisting Ronda's help.
