Mr. Perfect, despite supposedly being the epitome of flawlessness, turned up for his WrestleMania X officiating duties looking like he'd just shrugged off the ball and chain, or otherwise been shopping at an all-zebraskin boutique.
There was nothing criminal about Curt Hennig's refereeing though. In fact, the now-babyface Perfect showed absolutely no bias whatsoever when he found in favour of supposedly nefarious foreign menace Yokozuna, after Lex - a recently-turned American hero proving he couldn't change his stripes - laid hands on the official as he magnanimously tended to the stricken Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette.
The original plan was to pick up on Luger and Perfect's previous, which stemmed from the then-Narcissist's dodgy victory against the latter at WrestleMania IX. Ultimately, Hennig's back injuries poured water on the resumption of their conflict, and Luger was instead shifted into a team with Davey Boy Smith.
