The brackets and start date for this year's men's Dusty Classic have yet to be revealed, although the tournament will commence in February at some point. Whoever emerges victorious in this tourney will get themselves a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles currently held by Imperium's Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.

MSK will be looking to win back-to-back Dusty Classics, with Lee and Carter defeating Grizzled Young Veterans to win last year's tournament. Prior to that, the inaugural Dusty Classic winners were the tandem of Finn Balor and Samoa Joe, with subsequent winners being The Authors of Pain (2017), Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly (2018), Aleister Black and Ricochet (2019), and Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne (2020).

Last year also saw Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez win the first ever women's Dusty Rhodes Classic, defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart to take home that prize.
