8 Things That Must Happen At WWE Roadblock

How Roadblock can be a major turning point for WWE.

At the time of writing, only four matches have currently been announced for Roadblock. Although a Network exclusive, it still must surely be considered a crucial show for WWE in the wider context of WrestleMania. The overwhelming feeling heading into 'Mania seems to be one of pessimism, but Roadblock could change all that - if it knocks everything out of the park. Holding a Network event so close to WrestleMania may seem a strange move, but it could be the catalyst for a surge of momentum heading into the biggest show of the year. With that said, the card isn't especially strong. Dean Ambrose's title match is largely regarded as a foregone conclusion (Triple H retaining), as is Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt (no prizes for guessing who'll win that one). New Day's tag titles match with the League of Nations is an odd one, considering the heelish nature of both teams, but is at least on the card. No Intercontinental or US title matches have yet been announced. The remaining bout is arguably the most intriguing: Dash and Dawson's NXT Tag Team Championship defence against Enzo and Cass. Having an NXT match on a WWE card is a big step, regardless of the scale of the show. It may seem a (depressingly) predictable show, but hopefully Roadblock can defy expectations. Here are eight key steps it must follow.
