8 Things We've Learned From The Hulk Hogan Racism Controversy
4. Hulk Hogan Still Has A Lot Of Fans
One of the most fascinating aspects of the Hulk Hogan fallout has been monitoring the response of fans on social media. While there have been plenty of people vilifying the Hulkster, praising WWE's swift response and calling for him to be removed from the WWE Hall of Fame, there are just as many die-hard Hulkamaniacs that have his back. Hogan has received tens of thousand of support tweets. Most of them appear to be along the lines of 'we know that's not the real you, brother, stay strong'. Other variations include fellow Christians telling him that he will only be judged by God and some pointing out the aforementioned WWE 'hypocrisy'. The Immortal One has been retweeting these messages at a furious pace (in the process being duped countless times by internet pranksters who con him into retweeting dodgy pictures). Clearly, Hogan still has his fans and they will continue to follow and support him no matter. This is simply another in a long line of personal scandals that Hogan must 'stay strong' in the face of and move beyond. Hulkamaniacs, with their bandanas and Hogan tattoos, are not going anyway.
