12 months later, Triple H stood with Stephanie McMahon in the entranceway and watched thousands of people boo the sh*t out of WWE's next big hope. At one point, it was possible to see Trips lock eyes with The Rock. Both men were likely thinking the same thing: 'Uh oh'.

Roman Reigns had been rejected by the masses.

The Authority pair were scripted to show anger that Rocky had returned out of nowhere to aid Roman and then anoint him in front of the "WWE Universe", but Hunter and Steph must've been legitimately disappointed. Fans did not like this big babyface/star-making moment. They jeered it hard, and wouldn't properly accept Reigns until his 'Tribal Chief' run years later.

Triple H was annoyed looking, Stephanie flustered, and The Rock wondered if he'd suddenly landed back in 2003 when he was being booed as a heel. The whole pay-per-view finish was a complete 'f*ck you' to WWE booking.
