8 Times WWE Recycled Show Names

1. Super Show-Down

SUPER SHOWDOWNS
WWE

Disappointingly, after rumours leaked suggesting WWE were to pay homage to 2004 PS2 classic Prince of Persia with the ironically-apt 'Sands of Time' designation for their next unfortunate junket to Jeddah, the company officially announced that the show would instead be named the rather generic 'Super ShowDown'.

If that seemed familiar, it's because it was; WWE held an event in Melbourne with exactly the same name - give or take a hyphen - just last November. Presumably, then, this is part of the promotion's plan to create a separate, non-canonical Super Showdown chronology for their monied banter shows - and misdirect people from the controversial Saudi Arabian connection. We'll remind them.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
