...OOFT!

Kay Lee Ray was awesome in ICW, shone on NXT UK and now brings her skills to NXT proper. The former NXT UK Women's Champion stared down Raquel Gonzalez following the champ's win over Kai, and it's pretty obvious that KLR is next in line for a crack at the powerhouse.

On a personal note, this is great to see. Ray is considered a mother-like figure on the UK scene, and the outpouring of support she's received on social media from fans and peers alike is ace. Those who haven't watched much of KLR's work are in for a treat; she'll know how to pull the best match possible from Gonzalez.

Key departures from NXT like Shotzi Blackheart, Toni Storm and Aliyah meant the women's game needed some new faces. Kay Lee Ray was the best choice WWE's power players could've made. Bring on TakeOver 37 (or whatever it'll be called) for Ray vs. Raquel.
