8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (5 April - Review)

5. The Acclaimed Continue Their Foray Into Light Entertainment

Angelo Parker
AEW

The Acclaimed were just about to reveal that they weren't going to join the Jericho Appreciation Society, which was made clear when they insulted the group during Max Caster's rap.

This was clear to everybody except Angelo Parker, who amusingly did not grasp this in his role of a deluded fantasist heel. This strange but not unfunny detour will continue on Rampage, as Parker had arranged for 2.0 and the Acclaimed to team up in in an eight-man tag.

That is contrived. There are no eight-man championships in AEW (at least not yet), and this match has no logical purpose beyond prolonging a story.

Still, Parker's timing was so good here that it - again, for now - was just stupid enough to be charming.
