8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2019
1. An Unbreakable Challenger
After Brian Cage's victory over Johnny Impact to finally lift the Impact World Championship, he was confronted by his old Unbreakable F'N Machines partner from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla - a debuting Michael Elgin. Looks like we're set for a big lads battle going forward.
In all honesty, this probably wasn't the best choice on Impact's behalf. Elgin is often frowned upon for reasons outside the ring that we won't get into right now but not only that, how is he barging in out of nowhere and already receiving an opportunity at the biggest prize on offer? Then again, you don't really want to be telling Big Mike what he can and can't do.
Had Sami Callihan lost his X Division Championship match (which, spoiler alert, he did), then your writer was adamant he would be heading to the World Championship scene. We'll have to wait and see where Sami goes from here but for now, it's Michael Elgin sticking his name in the hat to challenge Brian Cage, and wrestling Twitter couldn't be less angered if it tried.
