8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 8)

1. Gang Warfare

Just like they did at Slammiversary, The Motor City Machine Guns and The Rascalz had a phenomenal showing against one another, this time with the Guns' World Tag Team Championships up for grabs.

All four men had the chance to do something special here, the key theme throughout being Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley's focus on the knee of Wentz. Their constant attack towards the ligament slowed the match down in places, with the Rascalz member unable to move at the pace he's used to. It didn't help that Dez was cordoned off for the majority of the match, meaning the knee became more and more of a target for the Detroit boys.

A missed Hot Fire Flame from The Rascalz opened the door for Sabin and Shelley to drop Wentz on his neck with some sort of double Pentagon Driver, but the real talking point came when The North, The Good Brothers, Ace Austin, and Madman Fulton all rushed the ring following the bell. Ethan Page, Josh Alexander, Austin, and Fulton decided to form a cohesive unit to beat down on the champs - until they were saved by Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, that is.

In case you needed a reminder, Impact's tag team division is on fire at the moment. It's being rumoured that a four team titles match is being penciled in for Bound For Glory featuring all of these teams, minus The Rascalz, but why not chuck Dez and Wentz in anyway for a Gauntlet Match? Either way, the doubles division never fails to amaze in Impact, as both the match itself and the post-match drama excelled in every way possible.
