Adam Cole was The Devil all along! AEW books multiple major title changes at Worlds End.
One need only glance at the number counts for those 'Ups' and 'Downs' to realise that AEW's latest pay-per-view was a fun show. The biggest story beats hit harder than a Jon Moxley clothesline, and the night ended with a satisfying reveal that doesn't quite close the book on this ongoing Devil stuff so much as set the table for more world class storytelling.
Bring it on. Anyone wondering how All Elite would fill the void left by the Continental Classic on TV just got their answer.
Tony Khan booked multiple major title changes on a night that sagged in the middle by cramming too many needless bouts onto the card. Worlds End genuinely could've done without at least four matches - the fact they were all bunched together didn't help the show's pacing one bit, and that's something AEW needs to work on.
The positives far outweigh any negatives though, that's for sure. Saturday's main card kicked off with a surprisingly-nifty eight man that energised an already up-for-it live crowd. Most importantly, marquee blockbusters like Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage, the Continental Classic finale and the main event all delivered.
