8 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (10 Sept)

1. A Break In Chadition

Perfect booking for the brilliant Chad Gable at very least, the King Of The Ring final serviced the tournament, if not the others in the match with the finalist.

An exceptional worker and believable babyface, Baron Corbin Vs Chad Gable was the payoff fans had been permitted to crave thanks to the separate stories of both men's trials and tribulations throughout the tournament, and the former American Alpha man can hopefully deliver the best of Baron's bangers from the last month when the two square off on Raw next week.

Bumping the final from the pay-per-view robs both of their Sunday showcase, but that might prove to be for the best - an (as of writing) 11-match card threatened to overwhelm the pair compared to the spotlight they'll receive on what should be the main event of the flagship show. King Of The Ring 2019, somehow, continues to be one of the best ever iterations of the show.
