8 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (10 Sept)

6. Blue Moon

Ember Moon Bayley

This useful backstage meeting between recent rivals Bayley and Ember Moon spoke both to the SummerSlam programme and Bayley's character shift.

A total shift from the wretched Mandy Rose/Nikki Cross verbiage earlier in the night, this made continued effort to explain the motivation behind Bayley's recent turn, worked on ensuring Moon wasn't the total loser she was presented as earlier this year, and teed up their clash later in the night as something more than match for a match's sake.

Efficient Sports Entertainment television, the acting wasn't great but the content was. Both female leagues have thus far benefitted from Bayley's switch, and segments and setups like this only highlight why the Four Horsewomen should always be the still points in the divisions' turning worlds.
