8. Solid Wrestling Up And Down The Card
Battlegrounds report card is going to look spotty in places, with some questionable decisions and bland matchups, but the wrestlers delivered solid performances at nearly every turn. Starting with Randy Orton versus Sheamus through Brock Lesnar versus Seth Rollins, the matches featured good-to-great wrestling, keeping things flowing. Even Orton and Sheamus, who have trouble connecting with fans during most of their matches, put together a nice bout. Kevin Owens and John Cena had another classic, while the match for the WWE Tag Team Championships provided some great moments. Bray Wyatt versus Roman Reigns also told a nice story in the ring, with Wyatt countering some of Romans trademark moves but still needing help. Theres no denying that the talent is there on the roster. The wrestlers just need some help with how things are booked/written to help get fans invested in the product so they will start tuning in regularly. Good wrestling alone wont dig WWE out of its hole, but it certainly makes for a better PPV than an overbooked mess.
