Hulk Hogan was the biggest wrestling star of the eighties. He was an inspiration. An idol. A hero.

Then, Terry Bollea got caught using racial remarks, stated to his worshippers that they ought to be careful when the cameras are rolling but refrained from apologising for his use of the language in the first place, partook in extramarital affairs with the estranged wife of Bubba The Love Sponge, forcefully engaged his former publicist in oral sex, stated that John Graziano, a friend of his son Nick's, suffered brain damage from a car crash because he happened to be an aggressive person who'd yell at people - much like he, as Hogan, made a career out of! - and claimed that a seventeen-year-old girl had a, quote, "killer f***ing body".

But he still had fans!

Until 6 January 2025.

Hulk Hogan, on the premiere of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, revealed that WWE had struck a deal with his Real American Beer brand. Fans in Los Angeles booed the announcement on account of Hogan being a supporter of United States President-elect Donald Trump.

Hogan being Hogan, he claimed that the politics being questioned were wrestling politics: the last time he was in Los Angeles, you see, he was a heel. In his own words, spray painting fallen opponents was worse than being a racist.

Sure!

This was the turn-off for the remainder of Hogan's supporters. He was as aura-less as he was in 2000.
