8 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Wrestled On All In
7. Damian Priest
The Over Budget Battle Royale worked.
Arguably one of the best-worked examples of the often mundane stipulation, it played host to a vast array of independent acts, from the Hurricane to Moose to Marko Stunt. Won by Flip Gordon in his Chico El Luchador guise, it told a decent story that benefitted from the big spots throughout.
One of the nineteen entrants here was Punishment Martinez, then-ROH star and now-WWE United States Champion. While Martinez didn't have a huge presence in the bout's first half, the 'Archer Of Infamy' bounced back tremendously as the match progressed. Responsible for eliminating both Trent? and Chuck Taylor, the former ROH World Television Champion's other major spot came via tangling with Brian Cage that saw both Chokeslammed by the Hurricane in a neat sequence.
It's a shame, then, that Martinez was ultimately snapped up by WWE mere weeks after All In, as he would have been a great fit for All Elite Wrestling, particularly in today's roster. The depth of their big beefy boys section is a testament to that; Punishment Martinez having a Texas Deathmatch with a Lance Archer or an Eddie Kingston writes itself.
