Tyler Breeze has been in need of a big win for a little while and it looks like he'll have to wait a little while longer to get it. The more rookie (to NXT) Apollo Crews defeated Breeze in the middle of this card.
There were a couple of amazing nearfalls in the final few minutes of this one. When Breeze held Apollo's leg and then pulled up his knees to block the standing backflip, it felt like Crews was going to lose in the inside cradle. Crews held on against the tenacious Breeze and eventually turned a suplex into a Powerbomb to set up the winning pinfall.
Even though he hasn't been near the top of the card as of late, beating Tyler Breeze is still a big deal in NXT. This ending seemed pretty straightforward so there might not be any return matches. Regardless, Crews is ready for some substance. Let's see him in a high profile rivalry.
