Sorry fans, this is not a If Cena wins, we riot moment. If John Cena pulls out a victory against Kevin Owens Sunday, its not the end of his career. Sure, Cena winning, even in 20 minutes by sheer luck, wont kill Owens career, but this belief that losing to Cena is a black march is being a little shortsighted. That being said, its safe to assume that WWE did not call the NXT champ to the main roster this quickly to go after the alpha male and lose in a two-week span. The betting angle is on how the match plays out. Will Owens lose? If so, will Cena need some help (inadvertent, unknown or otherwise) or will he gut it out himself? Or could Owens pull off the victory, perhaps with some shenanigans ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jME2wLlSAP4 Either way, you can be that Owens will not be sent like lambs to the slaughter. Hes being booked like a big deal, and having him lose now would not help the companys effort to build a new star. Look for Owens to be protected somehow. All in all, this could be a fairly interesting PPV (or special event, whatever you want to call it). If nothing else, look at this as a thank you from WWE to those who have the WWE Network.
