On March 7, World Wrestling Entertainment announced Big Boss Man as the newest inductee into the Hall of Fame class of 2016. One of the best heavyweights of his or any generation, the double-tough Georgian had two stints with the company that produced tremendous results. As the former prison guard out of Cobb County, Georgia, he first established himself as a hated heel, determined to put Hulk Hogan down and out of professional wrestling. Over time, though, he showed great respect and dignity, doing the right thing during a program involving Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase and turning babyface in the process. It was in that role that he is most remembered, an upper midcard performer who mixed it up with main event talent on occasion but could always be trusted to carry any program handed down to him by management. A vile villain whose promos were venomous and whose ring work was rugged and violent, he fit right in during the edgy Attitude Era. That is what the company wants you to remember about Boss Man, at least in a nutshell.
