This was always going to be the top 'Up'.

Cleveland lost their collective minds for Roman Reigns. His reworked entrance track has more of a babyface flavour than it did before, but it seems the 'Original Tribal Chief' still has an edge to him. Good. He shouldn't become some smiling good guy for no reason. This is an angry alpha male returning to reclaim what's his.

Reigns didn't hang about after posing mid-entrance. He hit the ring, and attacked Solo with dual finishers. The pre-spear "Ooooooooo-waaaaaah!" was particularly ace. Fans had been waiting all night to do that. Roman's return and attack on Sikoa also confirms that a Bloodline civil war will dominate SmackDown for the rest of 2024.

Anything Reigns does with Jacob Fatu should be incredible as well.

Everyone knew this comeback was on once WWE began showing Reigns on-screen during TVs, but it was simply phenomenal to live in the moment on the night come SummerSlam. Four years ago, Roman introduced the world to his 'Tribal Chief' era after a flimsy babyface run. In 2024, he returned as an all-conquering hero.

It feels right.
