AAA Star La Parka (Jesus Huerta Escoboza) has died at 55, stemming from injuries sustained in a wrestling match last year.

The Mexican sensation had been paralyzed after hitting his head on the floor and guard rail following a missed tope in his match with RUSH and Murder Clown at Kaoz Lucha-Libre's 64th anniversary event on October 21st. He underwent surgery the next morning but was never able to recover from his injuries and passed away on Jan 11th.

La Parka II (not to be mistaken for the La Parka which appeared in WCW) wrestled for AAA Worldwide for nearly a quarter of a century and was rightly lauded as one of the “bigger recent stars in Mexican wrestling”.
