WWE is Psycho Clown's "destiny".

With plentiful rumblings of certain AAA names being set to become more involved in main WWE programming, Psycho Clown has now taken a further step towards the market leader.

Over the weekend, Psycho Clown worked a six-man tag match at Neza Arena, and it was announced at the start of the show that this would be the third-generation star's final match in that venue. Not just that, but this announcement said that WWE was Psycho Clown's "destiny". At the event, Psycho Clown teamed with Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Nino Hamburguesa against the Psycho Circus trio of Murder Clown, Panic Clown, and Dave the Clown.

Of course, this comes on the heels of Psycho Clown now no longer taking independent bookings, which is yet another indicator of being WWE-bound.

Following last month's Worlds Collide special, names like El Hijo del Vikingo and Mr. Iguana were immediately talked about as being eyed for main WWE runs, and Psycho Clown is another luchador seemingly in that mix.

Given Psycho Clown's unique presentation and that mask, one has to imagine that the WWE marketing machine is extremely interested in what it can do with the 39-year-old. He may not quite have the potential of a Mr. Iguana when it comes to merchandise, but Psycho Clown could well do some solid numbers for the promotion if handled correctly.

Who Is Psycho Clown

For those maybe not too familiar with Psycho Clown, he's the grandson of Shadito Cruz, and the son of Brazo de Plata, who some WWE fans may remember for a brief spell as Super Porky in 2005 and into 2006.

Psycho Clown is also one of AAA's long-time franchise players, one of its top attractions, and someone who's been with the company for nearly 20 years by this point in time. Having made his in-ring debut in 2000 as Brazo de Plata Jr., the luchador eventually spent three years with the rival CMLL promotion before landing in AAA in 2006. By the end of the following year, Plata Jr. had been repackaged as Psycho Clown, a member of Los Psycho Circus.

In addition to AAA, Psycho Clown has also worked occasional dates for the likes of TNA, MLW, NOAH, and GCW, as well as being extremely busy on the Mexican independent scene over the years.
