With Adam Cole potentially becoming a free agent at the end of this month, there's now an update on Cole's ongoing situation with WWE.

As per PWUnlimited, the one-time NXT Champion is believed to have turned down "multiple" contract offers to re-sign with Vince McMahon's sports entertainment behemoth. The outlet doesn't have any details on what these contract offers are, but clearly this isn't exactly positive news for McMahon's promotion.

Previous reports claim that Cole's WWE contract expired last month and he signed a one-month extension that would get him through August. After that, the former Undisputed Era leader will become a free agent unless a new WWE deal can be agreed upon.

If Cole does decide to depart WWE, the natural expiry of his contract would mean there'd be no form of non-compete clause in place - meaning he could turn up in any other wrestling company on the day his WWE deal expires.

Of course, already many wrestling fans are pondering the notion of Adam Cole becoming #AllElite. While it remains to be seen whether Cole re-signs with WWE or not, AEW is clearly an intriguing proposition for Cole, with him being the partner of Britt Baker, having been a member of Bullet Club alongside members of the Elite, having plentiful ties to other AEW talent due to his tenure in ROH and beyond, and also having been spotted at several AEW post-show parties.
