Adam Cole's big AEW return opponent will be Daniel Garcia, as confirmed on last night's episode of Dynamite.

Garcia interrupted Cole during an in-ring segment in which Adam was already discussing his comeback bout on the 29 March Dynamite. Copying Cole's "storytime" catchphrase, Garcia put himself over for defeating Brody King and Bryan Danielson in recent times, questioned Cole's credentials, and effectively laid down the gauntlet.

Cole's response was that if Garcia is crazy enough to want to challenge him, they'll fight next week.

This will be the first time Cole has stepped between the ropes since AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door last June, when he was injured in an IWGP World Heavyweight Title four-way with 'Hangman' Adam Page, Kazuchika Okada, and 'Switchblade' Jay White. Prior to this, Cole was also briefly sidelined following a May match with Samoa Joe.

Recent weeks have seen Cole build his comeback bout up through a series of promos, vignettes, and interviews. His return takes place on the same night AEW's new docuseries, All Access, debuts, with the show set to broadcast immediately after Dynamite. Amongst others, Cole and girlfriend Britt Baker feature heavily.
