Adam Copeland's First AEW PPV Match Revealed!
AEW has confirmed Adam 'Edge' Copeland's first pay-per-view match post-WWE.
AEW has confirmed that Adam Copeland will team with Darby Allin and Sting vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne at Full Gear on 18 November in California.
The former WWE star will work his first All Elite pay-per-view on the night (only his second AEW match to date at time of writing), and there's a ton of buzz for it; some of that is partly due to Sting's pending retirement too. The legend will formally call time on his career at Revolution in March 2024, so he doesn't have too many bouts left.
Most AEW fans had expected some sort of tag effort involving Copeland and Cage at Full Gear anyway. It remains to be seen whether or not Tony Khan will stick the former tag partners and real-life best friends out there one-on-one someday, but this trios scenario will still scratch an itch.
Copeland smashed Christian with a trusty spear on Wednesday's episode of flagship show Dynamite, and said the match was on for Full Gear. The one-time Edge was also saved from Cage's goons when Darby and Sting rushed out to stop their beatdown.
