AEW All Out 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

9. Sting = Shoddy Mentor

It'd be kinda weird if Sting wasn't in the house for Darby Allin's latest TNT Title challenge. Sure, AEW's announcers could reason that Darby asked his mentor to skip the show so he could prove something on his own, but...that'd make the icon look stupid.

After all, he'd know that heels like Luchasaurus and Christian Cage couldn't be trusted to keep it one-on-one. All Elite might have a whole hell of a lot of explaining to do if the Stinger isn't in Chicago to rush out and help Allin fend off the obvious numbers game.

In fact, one of the commentary team would be forgiven for asking: 'Where the f*ck is Sting?!'. Last weekend, Sting and Darby won a 'Coffin Match' in front of 80,000+ at Wembley, so it'd be fairly thick if someone as experienced as Stinger suddenly went missing and let Allin take a two-on-one kicking.

Fingers crossed nobody looks silly.
