AEW Announce Jon Moxley's Dark Opponent
Robert Anthony looks set to step up to the AEW World Champion.
Tony Khan announced on Twitter that AEW World Champion Jon Moxley's opponent on the upcoming edition of Dark will be none other than indie star Robert Anthony.
Anthony has been playing his trade on the independent scene for nearly two decades and has reigned as the CZW World Heavyweight Champion, NWA X Division Champion and the RPW Heavyweight Championship, to name but a few. He also made his AEW debut in March 2020, teaming with Shawn Spears in a match on Dark against SoCal Uncensored, which they lost.
Now Anthony will have the chance to test himself against the best AEW has to offer in Moxley on this week's episode of Dark.
Taz also chimed in on the encounter on Twitter and added that he may bring a 'buddy' with him to take a closer look at the impending encounter.
With Moxley set to square off against Taz' client Brian Cage at Fyter Fest, will we see the hulking figure interfere with the Champion's match on Dark?
Tuesday night is shaping up to be a must-see event and could possibly add some more fuel to the growing rivalry between Mox and Cage.
