AEW Announces 2026 Continental Challenge Cup - Finals Held At All In (AEW News)
FA Cup-style trophy revealed on Collision as UK tie in before All In at Wembley Stadium.
AEW announced a 16-man Continental Challenge Cup tournament on Thursday's edition of Collision. It was also revealed that reigning Continental Champion Jon Moxley will be included in the brackets. The winner gets his belt and the FA Cup-inspired trophy.
The Continental Challenge Cup is painstakingly modelled after one of football's most iconic pieces of silverware for a reason. This tourney will conclude at All In 2026 on 30 August in London's Wembley Stadium. Announcers then revealed that the tournament will kick off in earnest on next week's episode of Collision.
Whomever wins the thing will automatically be entered into this year's follow-up Continental Classic. That'll take place closer to the end of the year.
There's no real word just yet on all 16 entrants, but Nigel McGuinness has thrown his hat into the ring for a spot. The celebrated commentator has wrestled 9 matches since shockingly returning to the ring way back in August 2024 at All In that year - his latest bout was a win over Josh Woods at ROH Supercard Of Honour on 15 May.
It'd be a surprise if Nigel wasn't one of the 16 then, especially considering his popularity, career renaissance and the fact he mentioned it on Collision. Others will be "drawn at random". Obviously, that isn't actually the case. We're not going WCW BattleBowl "Lethal Lottery" style here. That'd be Tony Khan shooting himself in the foot somewhat.
To summarise, the 16-man Continental Challenge Cup final will take place at All In. Then, the winner will move on to the Continental Classic round robin with the trophy and Continental Title.
