AEW Announces First Mexico Shows (AEW News)
Tony Khan is taking AEW Grand Slam to Mexico; company teams up with CMLL.

AEW is heading to Mexico for back to back nights of action and then some CMLL involvement this June.
The Wrestling Observer has disclosed details of All Elite's excursion to Arena Mexico for a card co-promoted by CMLL on Tuesday night, 17 June. Stars from the AEW-owned ROH will also be in the house for that one, so branding for the event has been presented as "CMLL vs. AEW/ROH". It looks for all the world like Tony Khan will pit some of his top workers against the best CMLL has to offer in various inter-promotional matchups.
Of course, this has been previously touched on in the United States thanks to AEW's Forbidden Door pay-per-views in the past. Various CMLL wrestlers have appeared sporadically on All Elite programming like Dynamite, Collision and the old Rampage show.
In addition to that, the company will present a special Grand Slam event on 18 June. No matches have been announced for either card quite yet, but there's a solid chance there will be some CMLL influence on that second show too.
But wait, there's more! AEW stars will be in attendance for the CMLL Fantastica Mania event on 20 June as well. That pro wrestling gathering of sorts will showcase pros from CMLL (obviously), AEW, ROH, NJPW, NJPW Strong, and RevPro.
Early matches announced for that include New Japan's Shingo Takagi (who will be making his Arena Mexico debut) teaming with Hiromu Takahashi and Titan against Templario, TJP, and Francesco Akira.
Names Like Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay Are Advertised

Whilst no matches have been announced for either the CMLL vs. AEW/ROH card or the following night's Grand Slam event, some big names are prominently featured on advertising for All Elite's trip. Mistico, Hologram, Komander and Metalik (ex-WWE star Gran Metalik, who was also known as Mascara Dorada) are all on the billing.
Core AEW roster stars like Kenny Omega and the ever-dazzling Will Ospreay will also be making the journey to show what they're capable of in Arena Mexico.
This comes hot on the heels of All Elite announcing that 2025's Forbidden Door pay-per-view is taking place at the O2 in London, England on 24 August. Before that, Tony Khan's group will also run their first ever show inside Glasgow, Scotland's OVO Hydro (site of WWE's Clash At The Castle 2024) on 20 August.
AEW will also shoot episodes of Dynamite and Collision in Scotland.
