All Elite Wrestling will close 2020 and ride into 2021 on the back of a trio of holiday-themed Dynamite specials.

As announced on last night's Dynamite, Holiday Bash goes down on Wednesday 23 December, but will air outside of its usual 8pm EST timeslot due to a clash with an NBA game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. This, coupled with the usual Christmas drop-off, will likely mean bad news for the television ratings. Going by the graphic above, it'll like be a pretaped show.

Following Holiday Bash will be two straight weeks of New Year's Smash, which will close the current year and open the new one. Special guests are being advertised for 30 December, with Snoop Dogg already confirmed for 6 January, continuing AEW's recent theme of bringing in celebrities (Shaquille O'Neal, Mike Tyson) for televised roles.

No matches have been booked for Holiday Bash or New Year's Smash at the time of writing.

January will also see AEW hold the Beach Break special episode of Dynamite. This is a replacement for Bash at the Beach, which WWE filed a trademark application for on 3 November.
