AEW Confirms Final Entrant In Sunday's 'Face Of The Revolution' Ladder Match
This wrestler bagged the final spot for Revolution's ladder match on Rampage.
Christian Cage nabbed AEW's final spot in Sunday's 'Face Of The Revolution' ladder match on Friday's episode of Rampage.
The veteran bested Ethan Page in a hotly-contested bout to bag the slot, and now joins Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Keith Lee and Orange Cassidy in the contender's situation at Revolution. The winner, of course, gets a future shot at the mid-level TNT Title.
Lee is being touted as the firm favourite, but fans shouldn't count out someone like Wardlow. MJF's heater has come into his own and has the potential to breakout as a standalone babyface eventually - Tony Khan might fancy sticking the win on one of his young All Elite originals too.
Christian, meanwhile, is almost definitely only there to make up the numbers and beef out the star power for the match. He's an unlikely winner at this stage. Nobody's suggesting that Cage would be a terrible choice, but yeah...it'd feel like a missed opportunity if someone like Wardlow or Lee didn't come out on the winning end.
Cage's AEW role is very much to do what he did on Rampage. In other words, he's there to put on great matches with all comers.
