AEW Cuts Wrestler's Promo Short On Rampage

Tony Khan gave this worker the short end of the stick on Friday's AEW Rampage.

Eddie Kingston has revealed that AEW bosses shaved some time off his promo during this week's episode of Rampage.

The wrestler posted on Twitter to say that his speech was heavily edited down to save on time during the one hour broadcast, but the fact he cursed "a lot" might've had something to do with that too. Kingston challenged Sammy Guevara to a match on next week's 'Grand Slam' edition during the promo.

That, nobody will be surprised to learn, is Tony Khan's bid to capitalise on real-life heat between the pair backstage. Apparently, things have calmed right down in recent weeks though, and both Kingston and Guevara are willing to do business together inside the ring.

Good times.

AEW only handed Eddie approx 30 seconds to work with on Friday's show. His promo was spliced with clips of Sammy and Tay Melo, then Kingston wrapped it up with the challenge. Eddie encouraged everybody to check out the 'Road To Grand Slam' special if they want to see the full thing.

That could be worth seeing, because Kingston is usually gold on the mic.
